Book Sale (Sunday, 14 and 19 March 2010)

At 12pm, the Hope Community Group ran a book sale, where books were going for very low prices!

Campaign for Compassion Fundraiser Soiree (Friday, 2 October 2009)

This is a charity ball hosted by Campus Christian Movement in association with Hope Auckland Christian Church for OXFAM New Zealand. It was aimed to raise awareness of our responsibility to care for the poor and needy, challenge and stir the hearts of Christians to serve the wider community, inspire others through our actions, and lift up Jesus' name in this event. Furthermore, the donation will also be used to provide relief for the victims in the recent Samoan Tsunami tragedy.

We had an all-night formal ball on this Friday night, with dinner, dance, auction, and a presentation from OxFAM. We managed to fund-raise just over $3000 this event. Praise God! We also like to thank all our sponsors to support this event.

Special Father's Day Service with Pastor Wilson (Sunday, 6 September 2009)

There were 2 combined events on this day. The first is a Father's Day service, and the second is that our Hope Oceania church president, Pastor Wilson, came all the way from Brisbane, Australia to preach to us on this day.

Combined Lifegroup with John Cairns (Friday, 14 August 2009)

On 14th August, we were very privileged to have a special guest speaker, John Cairns (http://www.johncairns.org/) to come and visit us. We had a combined lifegroup with him to share with us on his ministries and what God is doing in his life. Our combined lifegroup was held in Old Government House in the University of Auckland (same as our normal Sunday church service venue) at 7pm on Friday, 14/8/2009.

Samuel & Selormey's Wedding (Saturday, 8 August 2009)

Our church was delighted to host our first ever wedding within our church. A very special congratulations to our young couple - Samuel Boateng & Selormey Gyanfi, who has been united in holy matrimony on Saturday, 8/8/2009, 1pm–3pm, in Mt Albert Methodist Church, 813 New North Rd.

International Sunday (Sunday, 26 July 2009)

On the 26th of July, we had a celebration of this diverse range of cultures and countries represented in our church. It was an event where each and everyone in our church was encouraged to showcase the cultural diversity in our church by dressing in their unique costumes that best reflected their country and culture. There were also cultural performances such as singing and dancing. It was a truly colourful and spectacular event!

Join The Vision (Saturday, 25 July 2009)

This was for those who were unable to make it to the recent JTV. From 10.00am-12.30pm in Newman Hall, this was a chance for regular attrendees of our church to understand more about commitment to a local church, our values and how to become a memeber. Lunch was provided.

Water Baptism (Saturday, 11 July 2009)

We had Water Baptism for a number of people on this day. The water baptism was held in YMCA Custom St East at 12:30pm noon.

Week of Prayer & Fasting (13 July 2009 – 19 July 2009)

Our church embarked on a week of prayer and fasting in the middle of the year to ask God to guide us and empower us for the rest of this year.

Oceania Convention (OC 2009) (10 April 2009 – 13 April 2009)

This year, quite a few of our church members went to Melbourne, Australia to attend this year's Oceania Convention (organized by Hope Oceania). This year's convention theme is 'Moving in the Spirit Church', with the slogans 'Empowered' and 'By My Spirit'.

Annual Church Camp 2009 (8 May 2009 – 10 May 2009)

We had our exciting annual church camp! This year, our camp site was in Carey Park, a large and beautiful camping ground in the beautiful Waitakere Ranges! Our speaker this year was Ps. Ian Foley from Hope Melbourne, who is known for his teaching skills! He has taken us through the entire Bible and sharing with us God's plan for the ages.

Sunday Healing Service with Peter Truong (Sunday, 5 April 2009)

Many came and brought others to experience the healing power of God! The healing service was held during our normal Sunday Service time (10am – 12pm), in the Old Government House in Auckland University.

Street Evax with Peter Truong (Saturday, 4 April 2009)

On this day, we reached out to other people in Auckland City with our very own famous evangelist - Peter Truong! The street evangelism was done mainly on Queen St in Auckland City.

Student Outreach Rally with Peter Truong (Friday, 3 April 2009)

On this day, we reached out to other students with our very own famous evangelist - Peter Truong - in the Auckland University Clock Tower on Princes St.

Healing Workshop with Peter Truong (Thursday, 2 April 2009)

This is a healing workshop for our church members with Peter Truong as the main speaker. The healing workshop was held at in the McLaurin Chapel of the Auckland University.

Ministry Training Day (29 March 2009)

We had a training session held Sunday, the 29th of March, after service and lunch. This was for all those currently involved or interested in the following ministries: Ushering, Kids' Church and Sound Crew.

BGR Seminar (21 March 2009)

A seminar on boy-girl relationship was run for all youth and university students on this day! A lot was dicussed and learnt by those who attended.

Amazing Race '09 (24 January 2009)

As part of our Summer of Fellowship programme, we held a challenging and fun-packed Amazing Race around the Auckland CBD area.

January Tramping Trip (17 January 2009)

This is a church-wide tramping trip in the West Auckland Waitakere Ranges. We split into 2 teams going to 2 different tracks. The first track is the Auckland City Walk which took 0.5 to 1 hour. The second is the Cascade Track which took 2 to 3 hours. We had lunch and sports together afterwards.

Thai Mission Trip (January 2009)

A team of young people from our church went to Thailand for a week to reach out to rural areas near Bangkok to spread the gospel and aid people in needs. We did not do this alone, but with the help of our brothers and sisters from Hope Bangkok.

Christmas BBQ Lunch (25 December 2008)

Many people went away for the holidays this Christmas, but for those who are here over Christmas, We celebrated together with a Christmas Barbeque Lunch on Christmas Day.

Annual Church Camp 2008 – The Mission-Minded Church
(2 May 2008 – 4 May 2008)

This year's camp took place on one of the best camp site in Auckland – Carey Park, which is situated in the Waitakere Waitakere Ranges of Auckland. The camp theme is "The Mission-Minded Church" with the motto "Beyond Boundaries". Our speaker was Ps. David Chen, a very annointed pastor with the special gift of evangelism, especially in Africa. In the camp, he shared with us his experience in missions, as well as how to avail ourselves to the calling of the Lord, and how to trust in God in the impossible. He also shared with us how God was faithful in taking care of his needs and his family as he continued to trust and follow the Lord.

Annual Church Camp 2007 – The Seed Church (29 June 2007 – 1 July 2007)

The 2007 church camp took place at the Hunua Falls camp-site. The theme of the camp was The Seed Church with the motto "Release! Grow! Reach!". The topic of the camp was on how to grow individually as well as corporately in church under one head - Jesus Christ.

Church Anniversary 2007 (27 May 2007)

On the Sunday immediately following the Healing Night, we had a special service to celebrate our 10th Church Anniversary! On that day, we had special performances, food, and events, not to mention that Ps Brendan, the speaker for our Healing Night, also preached in this service.

Healing Night (25 May 2007 – 26 May 2007)

Probably the biggest & most special event of the year, the Healing Night is a grand event held in Pioneer Women's Hall to reach out to the sick and the unsaved through God's healing power! Ps Brendan, a gifted pastor from Hope Adelade came to Auckland to minister this special healing service, along with a talk on Science (mainly in astronomy) vs Christianity, and showed how the Universe can point to the existence of a God.

Easter Service 2007 (8 April 2007)

We had a special Easter Service this year, with very different people leading the service since most of the original leaders are away this Easter. This was definitely a unique service as we see lots of young Christians serving in the church. What a great family of God!

Oceania Convention 2007 (6– 9 April 2007)

Every year, we have a special convention in Australia where all the Hope churches in the Oceania region will come and worship and have fellowship together in a form of a massive church camp.

This year, our convention was titled A Prophetic Church, The Message and was held in Brisbane, Australia. It was a massive event with thousands of people from all over Australia and New Zealand coming to have fun together and to learn the Word of God.

Water Baptism (10 February 2007)

On the Saturday (10/2/07), we had Water Baptism for 4 people on a beach. It was cool and fun, and, of course, we celebrated with the people who were water baptised.
